The beautiful Cabo de Gata nature reserve is just over an hour’s drive from boutique bed & breakfast Casa Paco.
The national park comprises a varied area of coastal dunes, beaches, steep cliffs, salt pans, a considerable wetland of 12,200 ha, salt marshes, inland dry, arid steppes and dry riverbeds. Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1997, this natural park is home to exceptionally rich flora and fauna.
From the Mediterranean, you can also enjoy a scenic boat trip along five bays. Or join an adventurous kayaking and swimming excursion with panoramic views of the coast.
